First of all the car does not run and drive. It will have to be towed.
I am selling my 280Z due to the fact that I am in flight school and am needing some extra funds for my education. That is the only reason I am selling.
I am the 3rd owner of the car. The first two owners being a mother and son. The mother passed away and gave the car to her son which he then placed in outside storage where it sat for over a decade until I purchased the car from him at the end of 2017.
The car is all original with matching engine (N42 Block and N47 head) and 4 speed transmission. I had planned on rebuilding the engine so I removed it and it is sitting on an engine stand. The head (N47) is removed from the block and is just waiting for a rebuild. The head is a survivor with no heat cracks. All the hardware has been placed in plastic bags with all of them labeled. The fuel injectors and fuel rail are gone. However, the fuel injected manifold, wiring harness, and ecu are being sold with the car.
The interior is in great shape. There is not a single crack in the dash. The only issue with the interior is the driver’s seat does have a tear.
The body is also in good shape. The paint is the original color however it was painted candy apple red over the original paint and then repainted again to its original color of light blue. The heavy 280Z bumpers are gone as I was planning on installing the older 240Z bumpers.
Rust is minimal except for the right frame rail being pretty bad. The car comes with a new frame rail in box ready to be welded in. It’s definitely a great candidate for a restoration.
It has the original key, owners manual and comes with a few books as well as two OEM Factory Service Manuals for ’77.
